Our Projects

School Development
“Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world”, Nelson Mandela

Our Queendom, like most remote and rural areas of Zambia, has a high rate of school dropouts. This is due to poverty and lack of school facilities. Our mission is to build a of the future school that will educate 100 young leaders in 2024.

His Royal Highness Chief Kalasa Lukangaba Establishment has gifted Queen Nkandu-Makili with 5 hectors of land to build a school. The school is bordering multiple villages including Chunda Queendom.

The School will cater for all genders from pre-primary school to secondary school with access to stem projects, a soccer program and entrepreneurship section. Our aim is to put 300 students back in school by 2023. Our budget to build the school is AUD $50,000.

This includes Classrooms, homecraft, ablution block for girls and boys, fence, paving and furniture.

GBV Workshops
Teenage pregnancies and gender-based violence are some of the biggest problems our Queendom faces. This fueled by poverty gives young people little to no hope for the future. “The pandemic has increased the risk of exposure to gender-based violence and the challenged service provision and program implementation” interaction.org

Our solution is to this problem is to run workshops in a safe and culturally sensitive environment to educate and empower both men and women. We are doing this by partnering with national and international service provider are highly skilled to deliver these workshops.

Business Forums
The Queendom of Chunda has aligned a series of business development workshops for local people, not only in Chunda Village and people from surrounding villages are encouraged to participate.
